Great design ... terrible durability Review by NCRog
I purchased VersaCover for my 4th gen iPad just 6 months ago, after seeing the cover in use on a friend's unit. I carefully installed the backshelll and the iPad has never been removed from the cover neither has never been dropped ... when I travel the whole unit goes in a zippered, padded case. A couple of months ago, I noticed one or two small radial cracks at each corner, which have now grown larger, joined and a sizeable piece of the material has broken off. The design is a great idea, but this is not the durability I expected! Do I even want to invest another $20 to have a replacement shipped, only to fail and disappoint again? This product needs fixing. (Posted on 10/29/13)
Case broke Review by travis
I thought this was the best thing available. It fell off one stair and the case and and broke in the corner. Terrible

Like it, excepto for dust specks Review by Glo
Been using mine for 10 months, and like its versatility. It's a bit unstable when used on portrait mode, but great on landscape mode. LOVE the translucent cover, but the one thing that bothers me is that there is a tiny gap between the iPad and the back cover that allows crumbs and specks of dust to come in. Since the cover is translucent, you can see every speck of dust or crumbs sitting on the back of your iPad. This is, however, not bothersome enough to prevent me from considering buying one for my new iPad mini. It's worth it, although pricey. (Posted on 10/20/13)
Cracked case Review by Ken
I have had my case replaced two times at no charge, because corners cracked. Why hasn't this been fixed? Best case I have ever used, but will not buy or recommend until problem is corrected.

Looks Nice But Cracks EASILY! Review by travis
Ive been using this case for awhile. Its really nice to use with a premium feel and very slim. But once you drop it at ANY height, the corners will crack, sometimes leaving it with sharp edges that can cut ur hand. (Posted on 10/11/13)
Fantastic customer service Review by JK
My sister gave this case for an I pad 4 to my wife as a gift. As stated by others the corners cracked and pieces fell off, this was after careful installation. Discussed the problem with Moshi customer service and they readily replaced the cover. Had a new cover within 10 days. New cover works great, no cracks, and wife loves it. Way to go Moshi (Posted on 10/1/13)
Only one flaw! Review by How ie
Very disappointed corners cracked as other buyers have explained. Its too bad because I loved this item ,will not be buying another one! (Posted on 8/18/13)
Big disappointment Review by Unhappy customer
I read such great reviews about this case and was very happy with it at first but after about two months the corners of the case started cracking. The case is covered under warranty but the customer has to pay for shipping (on my case, about $20). First, I'm extremely disappointed that the case broke and second, that its going to cost me $20 to get it replaced - I don't see a point because from what I've read I'm sure it will break again. I'd rather put that shipping money towards a new case and likely won't purchase moshi products again. My recommendation is to move on, don't buy this case. (Posted on 8/15/13)
Poor durability Review by Myra
I also love much about this case but I never take the case off and still one corner is cracked and missing a section. I will look for something similar because this one is too expensive for such poor durability. (Posted on 6/24/13)
Poor durability. Review by Rose
Love this case and the angles I can place IPad at. Translucent backing is nice. Durability is poor. Cracks in 3 corners around the 4 month mark and getting worse now at 10 months, expected far better considering the cost. Will have to replace it and will not buy again. (Posted on 6/8/13)
Not long lasting for price Review by Carly
This case is Versatel for many viewing designs but all the corners cracked after just month of use and after having this case for 6 months my iPad just fell out of this case completely. Honestly I would not by this product again it's high price out weights its cons of durability (Posted on 6/2/13)
You need to get this Review by jdb
Just received this and already I'm quite happy I made this purchase. I had the back of my iPad engraved, so the translucent cover is great...can still see the engraving clearly.
I'm not sure why some reviewers have had their cover tear when they removed it. I've had to pop mine on and off about 5 times (to have the surface between the back of my iPad and the cover be perfectly free of every speck of dust) and mine hasn't torn. If you apply steady pressure at the very upper corner the cover will snap off without tearing. This is the versa cover and not the iglaze. The iglaze is sold on a different part of this site,
Product is terrific...would highly recommend to anyone. (Posted on 4/24/13)
good functionality, poor durability Review by Christopher
Had I written this review 3 days ago I would have had nothing but glowing commentary. I love the functionality of the case. However, yesterday, right after the one month mark from my date of purchase (haven't even used the case for a whole month) I noticed cracks on EVERY one of the corners. I don't constantly take my ipad 4 in and out of the case and it has never been dropped. All I can hope is that it is due to faulty manufacturing on this particular case but I fear that it is more likely a poor fit for the 4th gen.
There is really no reason, however, with normal and even sporadic use that there should be this kind of damage with less than a month of use. (Posted on 4/20/13)
Nice for a while Review by K
I've had this case for about 7 months now, and i love the versatility of the cover, as well as the slim design. However, the corners are cracking! I have not even tried to take it out of the case as other reviewers have. I keep it in a padded case when I'm out and about, and am always extremely careful. Regardless, there are cracks on three corners. I would have preferred more longevity for a cover at this price. (Posted on 4/20/13)
Good but with a Major Flaw Review by Collin
I have to agree strongly with Dennis. This is a great, slim case that adds minimal amount of weight to my iPad that offers dual front and back protection. However, although I've only owned the case for less than 2 weeks, I've already cracked the plastic backing as a result of trying to take my iPad out of the case (due minor water intrusion into the clear plastic back after cleaning the screen of my iPad with a few droplets of water). I assure you that I did my absolute best to be extremely gentle when taking my iPad out of the Versa Cover (especially after reading Dennis's review), but to no avail. I'm very disappointed that a product this expensive has already failed. (Posted on 1/18/13)
Excellent Review by Ben
Perfect for anyone wanting a low profile case that offers protection and more stable connection to the flip cover, the magnet was driving me nuts On the standard apple cover. Extremely well designed, fits perfectly.
The only potential drawback is the typing angle could be high for your tatste, it's higher than the standard magnet case which I liked in that sense
All in all though, excellent product, I don't write reviews often but felt compelled (Posted on 10/3/12)
A great case with one serious flaw. Review by Dennis
The iGlaze+VersaCover combination is my favorite case. It's lightweight, unobtrusive, and versatile in that it allows to prop up the iPad at different angles. Just don't try to take it out of the iGlaze case again. That is what I had to do today in order to clean up some liquid that had seeped between the case and the iPad back plate. I tried to be as careful as possible in prying apart the tightly fitting case ever so slightly, but to no avail: It cracked at the corner. In short, a case should be durable enough to be able to take out the iPad a few times without braking it. The iGlaze case clearly isn't. (Posted on 9/14/12)
Surprisingly good Review by Jacob
This cover is the best I've had so far.
+ Good tight fit (tested on iPad 3)
+ Both the iGlaze and the VersaCover have a good feel (solid, soft, not cheap)
+ All angles have a stable stand
+ Magnets are good, including the magnet in the Moshi brand label, which does a good job in sticking the cover to the back of the iPad.
+ Folding the cover is easier than it looks from the website (can even be done with one hand)
+ Cover perfectly matches the size of the case
+ Wake up magnet works like a charm
Cons (I won't put too much weight on these points, it's just to mention something)
- Typing angle could be too high for some people
- Portrait mode could be too low for some (smaller) people
- Speaker holes do not match the iPad 3 speaker perfectly (no loss in sound volume or quality though)
A really good cover, probably one of the best out there. For me, the cons a really minor. If it's durability turns out to be good too, this will be a killer!
The 40% typing angle can also be achieved by folding the cover the other way around, so that you have the same angle, but without the cover sticking out. I can't figure out why the examples on the website fold the cover outward. (Posted on 7/12/12)
